From October 10-13th the Computer Science and Mathematics department of the Eindhoven University of Technology will be hosting the joint GPCE/SLE event. GPCE 2010 is the leading international conference on generative programming and component engineering. Generative programming (developing programs that synthesize other programs), component engineering (raising the level of modularization and analysis in application design), and domain-specific languages (elevating program specifications to compact domain-specific notations that are easier to write, maintain, and analyze) are key technologies for automating program development. SLE 2010, the 3rd International Conference on Software Language Engineering is devoted to topics related to artificial languages in software engineering. SLE’s foremost mission is to encourage and organize communication between communities that have traditionally looked at software languages from different, more specialized, and yet complementary perspectives. SLE emphasizes the fundamental notion of languages as opposed to any realization in specific “technical spaces.”

The conference will take place at the Academisch Genootschap in Eindhoven (October 10th) and at the  Auditorium of the TU/e (October 11-13).
