Privacy in voting: how secret is your vote?

The recent controversy surround evoting has underlined the importance of vote secrecy. Accordingly, many academic voting schemes claim to guarantee vote privacy. Safeguarding vote privacy is, however, not a trivial undertaking -- not only must the vote remain secret for an outside observer, but even the voter herself must not be able to prove how she voted. Otherwise, an outside observer could force the voter to produce a proof that she voted for a specific candidate.

This presentation sketches the problems, and outlines a method with which the privacy of a voting system can be measured.

Speeddating

Students of the department of Mathematics and Computer Science can speeddate with Alumni to enable students to informally hear about job, career and employer experiences.
